Solution and Answer

Answers and solutions are synonymous words to describe how  problems are solved. They are, however, not the same.

For example:

1/2 ÷ 1/2  is (of course) equal to 1

We know that a/b divided by a/b will always be 1, that's a divisional property. (Division is the inverse operation to multiplication)

Most people will be quick to point out that 1 is the answer, but some will not know why it is so.

This is how I feel right now.

I know the answer but there is a cloud in my brain - I can not see the solution.

The irony of problem solving is this:

"sometimes you know the answers but you have no solutions"

"Not wrong" is not the same as "you are correct"

hon, the best way to understand math is the concept...division is always finding the number of this in this...there is only one a/b in and a/b...ryt? anyway, that is true..but the best way to understand and apply the answers in other things is to find out the solution...which sometimes we can never find...
